There’s always something rather interesting and cringe worthy about the making of a sex-scene. The magic that we see on the screen is known to seamlessly conceal the awkwardness that comes behind it. And Viola Davis is no exception, in fact, she’s even been injured while in action.
The How to Get Away With Murder star recently went on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and dished on how it all went down in the “bedroom” with her co-star Billy Brown. Ultimately, the making of the scene led to her having a back injury.
“We really went for it,” Davis told Kimmel. “I said, ‘Listen, I’m always playing a maid, I’m always gaining 40 pounds for a role. I want to be sexy! I’m pulling out all the stops!'”
In addition to these details, she also admitted that the filming of the scene was indeed not sexy. “The director said ‘Slam her up against the wall, and then really go for it, pull your pants down,'” Davis recalled. “He slams me up against the wall. Six people are behind the wall, holding it up. That thing is shaking. It sounds sexy but it really wasn’t.”
