When Wale holds court, everyone tends to listen. The DMV rapper sat down with Ebro & Peter Rosenberg to let fans get in a few questions in regards to his new album, ‘The Album About Nothing’ and also gauge questions from the two HOT 97 hosts.
Clad in a black blazer and jeans, Folarin was still in Wrestlemania mode as he walked around with an Ultimate Warrior themed winged eagle WWE Championship belt.
“Every project I’ve ever done, mixtape, I feel that I make a record for every emotion that I’m feeling at the time,” he told the crowd. “I remember Eleven One Eleven, I did songs like passive aggressive and that was my most frisky, innuendo laced record. That was my aggressive, fuck everybody record. So it’s hard to engage what the best song is … right now, I’m probably on my relax, brown liquor and listen to “One Time In Houston”.
Ebro even pressed Wale about him constantly seeking the attention of people who don’t like him. “I’m an obsessive writer,” Wale admits. “So I’m looking for every type of smoke, every type of bump. So when I find out, I go back in the lab and go to work.”
