The increasingly popular rap battle tournament Summer Madness 3 may have lost a competitor due to poor promotion. One of the event’s wildest participants, Daylyt, recently released a four-and-a-half minute YouTube video, where he announces he does not plan to partake in the competition this year.
“I’m almost 100% sure this battle is not going to do the views it would do if it was promoted right,” he says. “So, I don’t give a fuck about this battle, I don’t give a fuck at all. I’m not bringing bars.”
The upset rapper also speaks on learning how to adjust to the importance of the Internet for battle rapping and expecting flack if he decides to show up at the tournament. Daylyt is expected to face Swave Sevah in the first round. Summer Madness 3 will take place Sunday (Sept. 8) at Stage 48 in New York City.
