Chris Brown stopped by BET’s 106 & Park yesterday and sat down with host and friend Bow Wow for a little bit of “guy talk.” The two chopped it up about an array of topics, including Breezy’s clothing line Black Pyramid and his upcoming album, X.
“I think it was more of a mental process on this album. I think I wanted to find out who I was as a person and a young man,” Chris told Bow. “So I wanted to write stuff that could appeal to every audience, instead of generalizing it and it being too immature or too mature. I wanted it to be for every audience, so that’s why I came out with ‘Fine China’ first, so it could just be different.”
Bow Wow also grilled Chris on his creative process with on-again girlfriend Rihanna, with whom he recorded tracks with for both of their solo albums. The singer dished on their collaboration on his upcoming record for a song entitled “Put It Up.”
“In the studio, most of time when I’m writing records I’m just in my element. So you’ve been in there with me, we chill, party. So when I got into the studio with Rih and we did ‘Nobody’s Business’ it was just an energetic song so it was cool,” Chris explained. “On my album I got a song called ‘Put It Up’ so I had already wrote the song and made it a kind of urban, little nasty record. But it’s not like ‘Cake’ though; ‘Cake’ is right in your face. But this is more of a subtle R&B, real R&B record. And she’s singing R&B on there, so a lot of the girls are gonna be like ‘Whoa, okay, it ain’t the island, she really singing that.’ She doing her thing.”
The guys also made the audience swoon with a discussion about the weirdest place they’ve had sex, as well as who has gotten the most girls. Check out the interview above.
