Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis’s son Gabriel, has released a rap track under the name Gabe Day, titled “Green Auras.” Gabe released a video to accompany the track where he is seen at his school, Sarah Lawrence College, accompanied by his friends while rapping about the problems that he faces in his life.
Having an Oscar-winning dad isn’t all that it cracks up to be. Gabe’s new single is produced by the Born Sinner himself, J.Cole. With Gabe rapping over the instrumental track of Cole’s “Let Nas Down” record, Gabe admits in “Green Auras” that he is bipolar and that he turned to marijuana to cope with it.
“Call me Gabe Day and not Gabe Day-Lewis/ Cause if you’re trying to call me out, I’m going to Gabe Day-Lose is,” raps Gabe on “Green Auras.” “I know what my name is and I know what fame it/ Judging someone for their dad is just as bad as being racist.”
