While she didn’t outright discuss the recent news of her impending divorce from Kevin Hunter during her self-titled talk show, Wendy Williams alluded to being “on her own” and making a better life for herself and her son when she leaves her sober house in a few days.
“My business is your business, it’s kind of funny,” she giggled before the discussion began. Williams later tells fans that she plans on moving out of the sober house she had been staying in to deal with her drug and alcohol addictions. She says that she has a “whole new life” planned out for her and her only child with Hunter, Kevin Jr.
“You wear a different mask when you’re out here,” she continues. “Everybody has things in their life that they’re embarrassed to share with the world, or they’re frightened to share with the world, or they’re not ready to share with the world and addressing my sobriety, my addiction, head on has really helped me sort out every single compartment of my life.”
She shares that she has a commitment to herself and her son to come out stronger and better than ever before.
It was reported on April 11 that Williams filed for divorce from her husband of 22 years, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Reports and rumors swirled that Hunter was cheating on Williams for years, and that a child with his alleged mistress was born in late-March.
