A former Williamsburg high school assistant principal now faces a laughable four years in prison after being found guilty of a raping a 17-year-old girl in 2009.
According to the New York Post, the victim, now 24, flew in from Honduras to testify against 47-year-old William Abreu. The woman told jurors he approached her on graduation day about a job. While in the Progress High School vice-principal’s officer, she said he raped her on the couch and threatened to call immigration if she said anything.
Abreu was fired in 2013 by the city Department of Education after the allegations surfaced. The jury later acquitted Abreu on three misdemeanor charges stemming from separate allegations in which Abreu allegedly paid a student $4,000 to have sex with other men.
Abreu’s out on $25,000 bail and will be back for sentencing Nov. 29
