News broke earlier this week that rapper Young Dro was arrested while traveling through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Thursday (Jan. 21). The reason initially being a drug charge after authorities stated they found a controlled substance on the “FDB” artist. Dro revealed that it was actually half a pill of Xanax, but that wasn’t the primary reason for his detainment.
In an interview with TMZ, Dro said he was arrested due to pre-exisitng warrants for failing to register a few of his cars. Once they searched him, then they found the prescription pill and stated he violated the state’s controlled-substance act.
On the aftermath of his legal encounter, Dro said, “Everything is demolished. I had big lawyers on it. Shout out to Mr. Schwartz.”
The 37-year-old recently overcame another legal battle when he was charged with theft back in March. According to DeKalb County Sheriff’s spokeswoman Cynthia Williams, Dro was charged with “conversion of leased or rented personal property for a February incident,” meaning he utilized another person’s property or money for his own benefit.
