Now that boxer Yusaf Mack is out of the closet, he’s getting candid about his gay lifestyle. In a recent interview with HipHollywood, the 35-year-old revealed that Caitlyn Jenner’s transition inspired him to embrace his sexuality. Comparing Jenner’s athletic accomplishments to his own, Mack admitted that he was afraid of being judged by the sports community, but was later inspired by Jenner’s coming out.
“When I seen Bruce Jenner did it, I said ‘If he can do it, I can do it. I don’t have to hide anymore,’” he said. “He’s an Olympic four-time gold medalist, and I had several titles in boxing. If he can do it, it’s inspiring to me. I can do it.”
Mack also discussed his family’s reaction to his coming out, sharing that his ex-fiancee has been supportive. He also stated that his oldest daughter told him to “kill” himself, but that his ex assured him that they will “get over it.” Mack also expressed his interest in transgender women, calling them “trannies.”
“My interest is trannies,” the boxer said. “I love trannies. I’m attracted to trannies. I don’t like nobody [with] muscle like me.”
