Zaytoven has been producing hits for Gucci Mane for years, and after his release from incarceration, the two teamed up again to create more hits for his first post-prison album, Everybody Looking.
The producer revealed Gucci and Drake have joined forces to create something for their fans, which had social media up in flames. A Guwop and Drizzy tape stands for nothing but straight heat from every record, and the world is anticipating the release of their new collaborative EP.
Since the announcement, Zaytoven sat down for an interview with VladTV and revealed more inside scoop about the project. According to him, Drake popped up at one of Guwop’s video shoots and the rap duo instantly hit it off. After chopping it up for a few, Gucci brought up working with Drake, and the rest is history.
“And Gucci like, ‘hey man, we oughta do a tape together,’ and Drake was like, ‘bet, we oughta do it.’ And right then, he started thinking about a name, and Drake said, ‘we oughta call it the..’ I think he said The 6’ers. Cause where he from they call it The Six and Gucci Mane from Zone 6. Then we just ran with it right there, and then Mike WiLL just jumped in like, ‘Ay, yeah me and Zay start on that, we’ll do the beats for it, we’ll start on it right now.’ And everybody was in agreeance with it, so it’s like, okay that’s what we gunna do. And we already started doing songs for it.”
The pair wasted no time hitting up the studio afterwards, and they already have two full tracks down pat that are guaranteed to make the cut.
Both rappers are known for holding down the streets with their projects, so stay tuned for further information revealed about their EP.
