Cardi B took the stage at Washington D.C.’s Broccoli City Festival late Saturday night (Apr. 28), for her last performance until after her pregnancy. While the rapper kept the energy high, she managed to slide in a few comments about some “new beef” she’s been receiving since she’s come up on the scene.
“Ever since I got pregnant, I got all this new beef,” she stated, while pacing back and forth on the stage. “Watch when I drop this baby… What was said?”
While the “Bickenhead” artist failed to include names in her brief PSA, many assumed this comment was possibly directed at Nicki Minaj. As previously reported, Cardi B and Minaj have a long history of suspected beef. Although the two have denied it in the past, Nicki recharged feuding rumors after she accused Cardi of not giving her the proper respect during her interview with Zane Lowe in Apr. 2018.
Cardi’s words may not have been entirely directed at Nicki though. The rapper has faced a number of haters and critics, especially after she announced her pregnancy on Saturday Night Live.
Nevertheless, Cardi B is just busy being Cardi B. The rapper will reportedly return to the live stage following her pregnancy on tour with Bruno Mars.
Stay tuned for a full recap of the Broccoli City Festival.
