The Global Spin DJ Expo is coming back this Saturday (Sept. 17) to New York City (Metropolitan Pavilion), for its second annual bash starting at 12 p.m. Tickets are still available for purchase to the event here. After last year’s large success, Power Moves Inc. is sure to bring it again, as the only party of its kind. Being able to bring everyone from the hip-hop, tech, and DJ realms of the city into one place for a night is special.
All the premiere DJs from the NYC area are expected to attend Saturday such as DJ Self, DJ Funk Flex, DJ ProStyle and DJ Camilo.
The Expo insures to connect attendees with the world’s leading music resources to help guide those who DJ as a hobby as well as those who are serious about their careers and wanting greater success. “To the older generation this kind of opportunity wasn’t available.” said ex-Bad Boy Records executive and CEO of Power Moves Inc. Shawn Prez. “Being a DJ wasn’t really a prevalent career unless you fell into it.”
The hip-hop mogul started his career at Bad Boy after four internships, before working his way up the street marketing ranks to become an executive at the label. “I always knew I wanted to work in the music industry” said the south Bronx native.
The Expo aims to become the “Gold Standard” in DJ expos in the same manner as the Global Spin Awards have become the “Gold Standard” of DJ award shows. Consumers will be fully engaged in the experience. Anyone who is a fan of music should be attending. The lifestyle event is offering a little bit of everything from DJ mastering classes to sneaker customization and one on one sessions with the industry’s finest. You will also be able to see the latest trends in fashion.
