To say the least, 2016 has been a great year for hip hop on the festival scene. And leading the troop was Austin’s SXSW festival, which recruited a long list of major and rising talent to hit its Texas stages.
And while artists like Anderson Paak, Yo Gotti, Drake, Rae Sremmurd, Kehlani, and others lit up the stage, there were even more artists roaming the festival’s many events sitting down for interviews and of course, taking pictures. Thanks to the new age of social media and Instagram, all of those that couldn’t make it down to Texas got to keep up with their favorite artists during the week long event.
And after scrolling through top Grams from artists like Jhene Aiko, DJ Khaled, and Amber Rose, there’s no wonder hip hop was the top trending buzz-word at this year’s festival. Check out the stop Instagram flicks from SXSW below.
When Drake hit the stage for a surprise performance at the FaderFort, the crowd broke out in excitement. And when the “Summer Sixteen” artist starting dropping back to back photos on his account, fans erupted in an endless liking spree.
