Despite end-of-summer blues beginning to creep in, tennis fanatics are still hype for the U.S. Open. The sporting event’s official sponsor, American Express, hosted a riverside rally on Wednesday night (Aug. 26) at New York City’s Pier 97. Tennis stars Maria Sharapova, John Isner and Monica Puig, as well as comedian/ actor Kevin James rolled through as electro-funk duo, Chromeo, provided the jams.

The hydro-interactive tennis experience took cues from Tupac’s 2012 Coachella appearance, splashing larger-than-life holograms of Sharapova and Co. that celebrated the sport’s success. Here, VIPs and American Express Card Members sat in front of a 40X60′ wall of water, where tennis stars and several lucky fans got to swing the interactive tennis rackets and show off their swings, lobs and smashes in front of impressive 3D graphics.
Ain’t nothin’ like an #AMEXTennis party. Check out the highlights of the night below.
