The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” is sealing his launch into mainstream superstardom as the No. 1 record becomes a mainstay in memories and playlists. For Sunday night’s (Aug. 30) MTV Video Music Awards, the undeniable hit came to life on stage with the singer’s first performance at the coveted award show.
Complete with his best Michael Jackson moves, pyrotechnics and his signature high-pitched vocals, The Weeknd’s rendition of the chart-topper was pleasing to one audience member in particular: Kanye West. As someone he considers “one of his favorite artists” crooned on stagea, Yeezy pulled out one of his lesser-known talents, dancing:
