Even though Vashtie Kola’s birthday was back in April, hip hop’s favorite creative directing genius and party promoter turned up Thursday night (July 23) for the celebration at the Tao Downtown.
Vashtie’s “Dumb Late Birthday Party” saw gatherers from all different facets of the Albany-bred fashion model’s entertainment network- from Refinery29’s senior director Albie Hueston to the sexy chic Clemont Twins duo. Hosted and presented by Moet and Chandon Nectar Rose Imperial, Vashtie’s guests enjoyed the smooth, but zesty, complimentary drinks on the house all night long.
Jams from the disc spin of Just Blaze, Mick and Deemehlow kept the bash turned up to the max as well. Blown up in huge golden balloon letters, Vashtie’s birthday company drew their cameras for her as she fittingly stole the spotlight during her entrance:
On her website, Downtown’s Sweetheart mentioned that she had been tied up with non-stop work for the past three months, delaying the birthday celebration. Her newest Puma collection, slated for a winter release, was among one of the duties that called for the New York City maven. However, considering the pleasurable atmosphere of dancing, laughter and camera-time, she definitely made it up to herself and the guests.
