50 Cent, born Curtis Jackson, took to Instagram on Wednesday (Oct. 31) to reveal new details on his recently inked $150 million management contract with Starz.
On Oct. 11, Jackson secured a three-series commitment through his G-Unit Film and Television company as a part of the deal. Originally, only two of the series–Black Family Mafia and Vanguard–were announced, but it looks like 50 has finally revealed the third installment.
“My Power spin off is so crazy I’m doing the prequel. Wait till you see this sh*t, TGE influence (The Golden Era) Southside we outside 1988. 💣Boom” he wrote on the social media platform.
According to the post, the media giant will be directing a Power spin-off in the form of a prequel. Set in 1988, the prequel is slated to take place in South Jamaica, Queens, Jackson said.
The post features the rapper sitting on the hood of an old-school NYPD police car. A sign in the background indicates that production has already begun at Brooklyn’s Steiner Studio.
