When’s the last time you’ve sat down to watch the Grade A wipeouts and silly children’s shenanigans of America’s Funniest Home Videos? Well, it’s been a while, but now is the perfect time to tune back in. Actor Alfonso Ribeiro—affectionately known as our favorite finger-snapping character, Carlton Banks—will be gracing television sets as the new host of the show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, he will be replacing former host Tom Bergeron next season. Aside from Bergeron (current judge on Dancing With The Stars), Ribeiro will be following in the footsteps of Bob Saget, John Fugelsang and Daisy Fuentes.
The enthusiastic actor will bring his own style to the twenty-sixth season of the iconic show. “The difference between Bob Saget and Tom: Bob was about his jokes and Tom has really been about setting up videos and having those be the star of the show,” Ribeiro said. “I think that will continue. I think they are going to make some changes to the set a little bit and go with some different colors and just make it a little newer and fresher. But for me, I’m just going to bring my energy. I have a high energy and a lot of creative ideas in terms of dancing and singing and maybe I’ll use some of those abilities to introduce some of our videos. We’ll just bring my vibe to it.”

This new gig comes just months after Ribeiro rightfully snagged the trophy for Dancing With The Stars champion. Claps all around!
