When Ava DuVernay directs films, magical things happen, so it’s no wonder the Academy-Award nominated director has been tapped to spearhead Disney’s A Wrinkle In Time.
Deadline reports the Selma director will create an adaption of the 1963 fantasy classic novel, with a script by Oscar-winning Frozen writer and co-director Jennifer Lee.
While DuVernay and company begin getting their ducks in a row for Wrinkle, the Middle of Nowhere director is also directing the OWN series Queen Sugar starring Rutina Wesley, which chronicles the estranged Bordelon siblings who come from all different stages of success in life and must now work together to resurrect a once successful sugar farm.
Ms. DuVernay is a very busy woman these days. So happy for all her success.
