Ice Cube is preparing to set up shop on the silver screen with his forthcoming film, due out Apr. 15. Starring the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee alongside Cedric the Entertainer, Eve and Anthony Anderson, a set of new faces join Barbershop: The Next Cut cast, enlisting the acting services of Common, Nicki Minaj, Deon Cole and more.
Within this latest trailer, we see Minaj’s character briefly interacting with Common, and get a little bit more insight to the plot of the movie, which showcases the harsh realities of gun violence in Chicago and how the shop plans to combat that matter.
This news follows the success of Cube’s latest reel, Ride Along 2 alongside his #BrotherInLaw Kevin Hart. The Tim Story-directed flick debuted at number one at the box office, beating out Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
