It looks like Brandy is sticking to television for the time being. After returning to the small screen for BET’s reboot of The Game, fans got used to seeing the former Moesha star commanding the set again. Her time on The Game came to an end when the show concluded this past summer and the singer spent some time on Broadway, playing Roxie Hart in Chicago. But she also had another television gig up her sleeve all along.
Brandy is returning to BET for the network’s newest show, Zoe Ever After. In the original trailer, the actress stars as Zoe Moon, a single mother and professional trying to balance dating and motherhood amidst her recent divorce by starting her own cosmetic line. Brandy isn’t the only TV veteran in the sitcom; Southland’s Dorian Mistick is also making an appearance, playing the ex-husband, Gemini Moon. The new romantic comedy appears to be similar to her previous roles with Zoe Moon coming off as an eccentric and high-energy protagonist.
Zoe Ever After isn’t set to premiere until January, but check out the trailer of the new BET show and see if you’ll be tuned into the romantic comedy with Brandy next year.
