Cult favorite “Kick-Ass 2” has just wrapped its last bout of filming in London, but there’s a few noteworthy additions to the cast that you should check out!
In the Matthew Vaughn-produced sequel, Chloe Moretz, now aged 15, returns as Hit-Girl to join forces with Kick-Ass as they continue their fight against crime. Aaron Johnson reprises his role as the title character and Christopher Mintz-Plasse will play the villain Red Mist (now credited as “The Mother Fvcker”). And now, the cast adds a diverse British flavor to the project with the inclusion of Daniel Kaluuya and Tanya Fear.
Kaluuya (BBC Three’s “The Fades,” “Welcome To The Punch”) is slated to play Black Death, a member of the gang of villains led by Mintz-Plasse’s The Mother Fvcker. Newcomer Tanya Fear joins the cast in her first feature film role, as Harlow, one of the mean girls who assails Hit-Girl with rude remarks.
Kaluuya and Fear are joined in “Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall” by Morris Chestnut, Donald Faison (“Doctor Gravity”), Nicolas Cage and John Leguizamo. The sequel is scheduled to hit theaters next summer 2013.
