Ah, Cardi B. The beloved Bronx bomber who climbed the charts with her explosive hit “Bodak Yellow” stole our hearts with her spunky personality and honesty, all of which were on full display when she sat with Jimmy Kimmel Wednesday night (Oct. 17)
Kimmel traded in the sun and surf for cooler east coast temps when he packed up his show and headed to Brooklyn. For one week, the late-night host will welcomed guests and entertainers to his new home at the Howard Gilman Opera House.
The Invasion of Privacy artist received a standing ovation from a roaring crowd eager to hear whatever she had to say. Kimmel queried Cardi about her whirlwind of a year, the highlight of which was the birth of her daughter, Kulture. And while Cardi is head over heels in love with her 3-month old, childbirth was tough, to say the least.
“[Childbirth] was totally harder,” the 26-year-old said. “She broke my vagina.”
“That’s a rude thing for her to do,” Kimmel quipped.
“Why doesn’t anyone tell you about those things? No one told me they would stitch my vagina,” Cardi B continued.
Cardi has been fast at work since giving birth but fans haven’t seen a picture of her little bundle of joy, which Cardi admits is deliberate.
“You want to know something? There are certain things I want to do with my daughter. I want to go to the beach with my baby. I want to take a stroll with my baby and I can’t because I don’t know who’s next to me and who has certain intentions. I don’t want to show my baby out to the public right now I just want to protect her.”
