A pop culture hero is back to do the job he does best–catching members of the creep squad. Journalist and TV host Chris Hansen is returning to the small screen with Hansen Vs. Predator, a new approach to the classic series, To Catch A Predator.
Mediate reports Hansen dropped a “sizzle reel” on Wednesday (Aug 17), to promote the revamped series to the big leagues. His previous show To Catch A Predator, ran from 2004-2007 catching hundreds of suspected child predators. With the help of watchdog group Perverted-Justice, Hansen’s show and accidential catchphrase, “take a seat” became cemented into pop culture. The show was cancelled for various reasons from questions of entrapment on NBC’s part to simply running out of pedohihes to catch.
With the demand high for the show, Hansen launched a Kickstarter in April 2015. Over 1,200 fans donated to cause, helping Hansen build a heavy budget of $89,000. Just a few days before releasing the teaser, Hansen announced the show in in talks with a network.
We have reached a deal for @HansenVsPredator! More to come on Aug 22!

A lot has changed since 2007, like the high presence of social media. Expect to see the team use it as a teaching tool for parents and more.
