VIBE TV steps out on the red carpet for the star-studded premiere of the new adventure film Cloud Atlas. Boasting big names such as Halle Berry, Keanu Reeves, Susan Sarandon and others, the flick turns the 2004 novel by David Mitchell and presents six different worlds of fantasy and drama, depicting how one life affects another.
“I hope [people] see it fors it ambition, its boldness,” says actor David Gyasi (Dark Knight Rises). “[I hope] they’ll accept the humanity it comments on, they’ll accept the love that it comments on and the decisions that ultimately shape our future.”
Moviegoers can also appreciate Cloud Atlas for its stunning visuals, a challenge that Senior VFX Supervisor Dan Glass gladly accepted. “We had to tackle a lot of different looks for a lot of different time periods, particularly the science fiction and coming up something new and exciting and fresh,” says Glass. “There’s literally something for everybody in this movie.”
The film is directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski and Tom Tykwer. In theatres now.
