Daniels is looking to follow up The Butler with a sobering look at the late funny man’s life.
The untitled project has been in the works since 2009, with Forest Whitaker being the last huge name attached to help bring Pryor’s life story to the big screen. Although it is not know if he is still linked to the movie, Adam Sandler and Bill Condon were also involved in the project before it stalled in 2011.
Wayans is rumored to be the front runner for the project as his screen test wowed studio head Harvey Weinstein. But with Jordan, a clear breakout star with Fruitvale Station, could he be aged up to perform the role which covers Pryor’s life when he was in his 30s?
