Drake hilariously took over Saturday Night Live, (May 14) reminding us that he was an actor way before his music career took off. But after the audience recovered from laughing at his skits, Drake performed two tracks from his well-received album, VIEWS.
Chris Rock introduced the rapper for his first performance. Drizzy took the stage to sing his hit single, “One Dance,” which is the rapper’s first number one single on the Billboard charts as a solo artist. As he brought out some of his signature dance moves, he sang along to the summer jam on a cubic platform that looked similar to the one used in his “Hotline Bling” video.
Drake followed “One Dance” with a performance of his new track, “Hype.” For this number, Drake changed up the stage a little, calling for a darker set up with fog and fake snow.
Although his beard wasn’t present for his television appearance, Drake still managed to get us amped up for his “Summer Sixteen” tour this summer.
Check out his two performances on SNL below.
