Spoiler alert! Empire co-creator Lee Daniels posted teasers of season 2, months before its release on FOX (Sept. 23). By his seventh day of shooting, Daniels’ Instagram showed prison abs and on-set appearances by rapper/producer Swizz Beatz, comedian Chris Rock, and Vogue contributing editor Andre Leon Talley. Tyra Ferrell (Boyz N the Hood, Jungle Fever) joined the hit show also.

Cast members like Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson, Jussie Smollett, Yazz the Greatest (Bryshere Y. Gray), Tasha Smith, and more returned for shooting. The highly-anticipated show raked in massive ratings for its debut, so the forthcoming season will probably surpass that feat.
