It looks like Chadwick Boseman (42) is having a funky good time judging by this first look picture from Tate Taylor’s Get On Up.
Promising “warts and all,” Tate Taylor’s finalized biopic based on the late, great James Brown reveals Chadwick Boseman incarnating the role.
Replacing 50 Shades Of Grey with Get On Up is a bold move given the upcoming blockbuster slate in August 2014. The soulful film will compete with Disney’s Guardians of the Galaxy, which may still win audiences despite going head-to-head against a superhero film.
Taylor’s project boast a very talented ensemble cast including Dan Aykroyd, Viola Davis, Octavia Spencer, and Jill Scott. As you can see above, Boseman rocks the hairdo of the time, looking like he’s letting it all hang out on the stage in rehearsal. While this is only a first look at the project, we can only hope to see more transformation as we anticipate a trailer.
