While Les Miserables and Homeland took home the most trophies at the 2013 Golden Globes, films like Argo, Django Unchained and HBO’s cult series Girls had big wins in coveted Golden Globe categories. Quentin Tarantino, the director/producer/screenwriter behind Django, was genuinely surprised when his name was announced as the winner for Best Screenplay, beating out the storylines for Argo, Zero Dark Thirty, Silver Linings Playbook and Lincoln. Ben Affleck was almost speechless by his Best Director win for his directorial debut in Argo, as he was up against several Hollywood legends.
Not surprising about the night, that co-hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler lived up to expectations delivering a hilarious monologue and commentary throughout the evening.
