The classic comedy, Friday, turns 20 this month and the nationwide celebrations are already starting up. In light of the anniversary of the popular movie, Ice Cube stopped by Conan O’Brien’s show last night (Apr. 16) to discuss the movie’s worldwide impact and why more people ended up liking than he expected.
Cube reminisced over the classic one-liners, explaining to Conan just exactly what the currently loved phrase “Bye, Felicia” means. “That is the phrase to get anybody out of your face that’s saying something stupid,” said the former N.W.A rapper.
A director’s cut of the movie will be shown in 400 theaters nationwide on 4/20, the day of herb blowing. Until then, watch Cube and Conan chop it up above.
