O’Shea Jackson Jr. plays his father, Ice Cube in the highly anticipated film, Straight Outta Compton. And to say the least, getting into character was not cheap. TMZ recently spoke to O’Shea, where he revealed he wore a hefty $15,000 jheri curl wig to make the impersonation of his pop more authentic.

“No, it was $15,000 wigs. It’s a serious movie, man. You should go see it,” O’Shea Jackson Jr. told the news outlet when asked if he had to grow out his hair for the part.
Before he spoke about the wig, he also detailed how his parents disciplined him as a child. “They both were very reasonable parents,” he said. “And every parent—If you don’t bring no bullshit then there shouldn’t be no shit.”

And like any other parent, Ice Cube is proud of his offspring. In a recent at Dr. Dre’s “The Pharmacy” Beats 1 radio show, the Compton-rapper said, “I describe it as watching your son win the Super Bowl for the same team you won the Super Bowl with,” he said. “That’s the feeling I got watching him work, knowing that he was in great hands.”
