The first trailer for the Netflix-original film Beasts of No Nation has been released and as expected – it’s intense.
Filmed in a rural part of Ghana, this teaser introduces audiences to Golden Globe winner Idris Elba as Commandant, a ruthless warlord who coerces an innocent child, Agu (played by newcomer Abraham Attah), into a merciless child soldier seeking revenge on those who have killed his family. Based on Uzodinma Iweala’s novel of the same name, this trailer captures the harsh reality of child soldiers in war torn nations and the psychological trauma that one goes through while making the transition from an innocent child to a violent warrior.
