If you weren’t already patiently awaiting the day Star Trek Beyond opened up in theaters, right now would be an appropriate time to get excited. In a new commercial for the film’s “Star Trek: To Boldly Go” initiative, the cast of the forthcoming galactic flick announced a charity contest in the form of a casting call.
For a small entry fee, a lucky supporter and their friend will win the grand prize of a walk-on role in the movie. Additionally, six other winners will get to visit the set and meet the cast. Donations will go towards charities nominated by each of the cast mates: Brave Beginnings, Camp Sunshine, Direct Relief, Heaven Homes, KidsCan, Koreatown Youth & Community Center, Make-A-Wish, Time is Precious and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Towards the tail end of the advert, Idris Elba casually strolls across the spaceship set to stand alongside the rest of the confirmed cast members, Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Zachary Quinto, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin and John Cho. As extra confirmation—and before Elba broke out into a celebratory breakdance routine—Chris chimed in, “Idris, glad you could join us.”
