Universal Pictures and Will Packer Productions have assembled an all-star cast in an upcoming comedy. Issa Rae, Regina Hall, and Blackish’s Marsai Martin will appear in the new film, Little, and the first trailer is absolutely hilarious.
The film is based off of 14-year-old’s Marsai’s idea. In the three-minute preview, viewers are introduced to Issa Rae’s character, a overworked assistant for an overbearing and demanding boss, Regina Hall. Hall is obviously a burden to everyone she comes in contact with. And after arguing with a child, a spell is cast to transform her into a miniature version of herself.
The following day she wakes up as Marsai Martin. Unbeknownst to her, she continues her everyday life as if she is still the top dog at work. But as time goes on, she is forced to swap roles with Issa Rae and relive her early, adolescent days.
Little sort of mimics the same plot as the 1988 film, Big starring Tom Hanks. James Lopez and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris will produce the film with Josh Martin, Martin and Regina Hall serving as executive producers
Little will hit theaters on Apr. 12 Check out the trailer in the video above.
