On Sunday night (Jan 10), Jamie Foxx and Lily James presented the award for Best Original Score in a Motion Picture at the Golden Globes. But in Steve Harvey Miss Universe fashion, Jamie made an epic quip by announcing the wrong award winner. Without even taking a look at the envelope, Foxx declared the “winner” was Straight Outta Compton. Which to say the least, was interesting; because the movie wasn’t a nominee in the first place. The actual winner of the award was Ennio Morricone for The Hateful Eight.

Taking his joke further, Jamie apologized profusely in the same way that Harvey did after his Miss Universe mishap. “I’m sorry, folks. I made a mistake. It’s right here on the card. It’s right here on the card,” he said while on stage.“I take full responsibility – full responsibility. It was right here on the card … I apologize to everybody in Compton.”
After the joke, Foxx also did a very sweet thing for his daughter, Corrine Foxx, as he introduced her as our very own Miss Golden Globe.
Here’s what he had to say: “This young lady never asked me for money. This young lady never asked me for anything. This young lady’s never been in trouble. This young lady deserves this moment,” Foxx said of his daughter. “She was here when she was 10 years old when she was in the fifth grade, and she came with her father to this event. This young lady is absolutely the love of my life. This young lady is absolutely my heart. She is Miss Golden Globe. This young lady’s name is Miss Corinne Foxx.”
