Snooki, The Situation, J-Woww and crew will be filming in Florence, Italy for season four of Jersey Shore but it won’t be the usual fun and games. Matteo Renzi, the Mayor of Florence, has given the show a list of strict rules to follow during their stay in Florence and let’s just say, there will be no binge drinking outside the house, so that means there will probably be no fights or any sloppy drunk embarassing moments–all the elements that guilty pleasure reality TV is made of. See below for all the rules:
Via PopEater: The cast will not be filmed in bars and clubs that serve alcohol.
The cast will not be filmed drinking in public.
The show will not be filmed to promote Florence as a drinking town.
The show should be filmed in a manner to promote Italy (not Americans visiting Italy) and feature its culture and good food.
In addition, the cast will not be allowed to film inside of any historic buildings, though Renzi said he could not stop them from using Florence scenery as a backdrop for the show.
Renzi’s rules come after some Italians expressed outrage that the MTV show would be filming in their country.
Either the cast should have chosen another Italian city, like Naples or maybe even Milan (which may not have been any better for all we know), or they should have kept their shenanigans Stateside. With all those rules, they might have been better off going back to Miami or another major US city. Sadly, the ingredients for an entertaining Jersey Shore have all been cut. What are we going to see now? Hopefully, the kids do a Euro-Trip and wander into more laid back territory like Amsterdam.
