Kanye West wants the media to “pick a new target” and to stop “demonizing” him!
During the last leg of the Yeezus tour in Australia, Kanye recently made headlines for his debacle concerning his “order” for wheelchair bound fans to stand during his concert. The media’s portrayal of what ‘Ye considers a misunderstanding prompted the ferocious rant.
“I’m a married Christian man with a family,” he exclaimed to fans gathered in the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. “At my concerts, I make sure everybody has as good a time as possible. So all this demonizing me, it aint’ goin’ to work after a while. Pick a new target. Pick a new target because I’m no tone of these dumbass artists that you’re used to. You come at me, I’m going to take my platform and break this shit down for real, intelligent people every night, and then, we’ll get back to the music.”
Getting back to the music is exactly what the entertainer did. The Sydney Morning Herald recap on the event stated that after Kanye declared “the statement”, his rhythmic rant led him straight into a performance of Heartless.
His next scheduled performance is set for October 24th in Las Vegas, NV.
