
Empire has yet again added another star to its high profile celebrity roster.
And this time around, Kelly Rowland is set to join the cast as Lucious Lyon’s mother in his forever-occurring flashbacks, reports E!. Before the reports, however, there were clues of Rowland’s new role on the show. An Empire writer’s Twitter page may have given it away last month:

In addition to bringing in Kelly, the hip hop drama has enlisted a slew of other celebrities for its second season including the likes of: Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Marisa Tomei who will play a venture capitalist. Not to mention Adam Rodriguez who plays Cookies’ new love interested.

Empire’s upcoming second season will be hitting small screens on Sept. 23 on FOX.
