Kenan Thompson is chucking up the deuces to Saturday Night Live after this season. And this seems like the best time to make a “Wassup with that” joke. Thompson, who’s known for playing Steve Harvey and Charles Barkley on the show, is the Black cast member who’s had the longest stint on SNL. RELATED: Ranking 10 Of SNL’s Blackest Skits (So Far) According to TMZ, there’s no bad blood. Thompson was reportedly ready to bounce last season before producer Lorne Michaels talked him out of it. As much criticism as he’s gotten during his stint on the show, we’ll be sad to see Kenan go, especially since this means SNL will be short one black cast member. There was also talk of him having his own show. Those rumors may now be closer to truth.
Imagining Kenan trying to tell Lorne he wants to leave and Lorne being DeAndre Cole and not letting him speak. #SNL
