Kerry Washington is hopping into the board room with execs at ABC, and it’s not in conversation about her hit drama, Scandal. Actually, Kerry Washington is set to executive produce a new drama for the network, entitled Patrol.
The new series is a police drama, chronicling the life of four female police officers who attended the same police academy, according to Variety. But five years after graduation, the women are forced to reconnect after a secret they buried long ago comes back to haunt them.
“I believe strongly in the importance of having a seat at the table,” Washington stated about her new production gig. “It’s an honor to be at a point in my career when I can help generate projects that are exciting, necessary, and truly reflect the world around us.”
Patrol has not been given an official release date.
