There’s a certain ease, rhythm and attitude that goes into successfully doing Silento’s whip and Nae Nae dance, all of which KMOV’s Great Day, St. Louis news team did not have. However, the trio gets an E for effort.
In a video that has garnered close to 4,000 shares on Facebook, hosts Claire Kellett, Matt Chambers and Kent Ehrhardt took time off from reporting the news to try and do the dance they’ve heard so much about. After a few whips and some off rhythm Nae Naes, Ehrhardt threw in the towel.
“I just feel awkward and white right now,” he said while his co-workers laughed at him.
Things got a little better when they got to the Stanky Leg portion of the song but after about a minute or so, the team decided to stick with just reporting the news.
