Allegedly, Ray J, Souilja Boy, Mally Mall and Omarion have expressed their discontent in sharing the small screen with the queer rapper. But it’s not because of his sexual orientation, instead their plight with him runs more between the lines of his lack or thereof for having credibility as a rapper. The news outlet also stated that his fellow castmates, have been upset with the producers of the show for including Milan in what they believe as a “sideshow” and “goose” to boost ratings. In addition, three unnamed acts from the show have refused to shoot any scenes with Milan— who is also a producer and model.

According to Rolling Out, Milan’s storyline will involve a relationship with a fellow artist named Miles, whose ex-girlfriend is still in love with him.
“This season of ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’ will explore one of the most complex relationships in franchise history. Miles, a West Coast rapper, who was raised with church values bravely faces his truth, when he realizes he’s in love with Milan, an openly gay man,” the press release reportedly reads. “The struggle becomes complicated for Miles because his best friend and childhood sweetheart, Amber, is still in love with him. The season follows Miles and Milan’s difficult and emotional journey as they deal with the stigmas often associated with intimate relationships between black men in the music industry,”
While some attribute the cast’s resistance to a lack of talent, Milan thinks he is being ostracized because he is gay. Will just have to wait and see how this plays out when the show premieres on Sept. 7.
