
More black star power is hitting the late-night cable circuit this summer with the addition of Marc Lamont Hill.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the former Huffington Post and CNN contributor has landed his own show on VH1. The series, VH1 Live! will feature Hill interviewing the network’s popular stars while highlighting the must-see moments on the network’s favorable shows. The show is produced by the company Embassy, known for Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live and the Chris Hardwick-hosted series, Talking Dead.
The news-gossip show will also feature a social media competent for fans to take part in because, 2016. The news comes after the network’s addition of Amber Rose’s weekly series, The Amber Rose Show.
The host plans to bring his “raw street savvy” approach to the screen while tackling entertainment and current news. The Morehouse College professor gave a proper humble brag on the ‘gram on Wednesday (June 29) after the news was revealed.
VH1 Live! premieres on Sunday, July 17 at 10:00 p.m. EST.
