The three-day premiere of Lifetime’s Surviving R. Kelly series showcased the life and success of the Grammy award-winning artist. The dream hampton directed project also detailed the years of reported abuse with first-hand accounts from several of Kelly’s victims, which left many watching disgusted and disturbed.
Monday afternoon (Jan. 7) Master P took to social media to give his two cents on the matter and warned many watching they may take offense with his stance. The No Limit CEO and founder thinks the victim’s parents are the ones to blame for letting things “go that far.”
In two Instagram posts, Master P called hampton’s docuseries a “reality show,” and said the only way he’d be featured is if he caused physical harm to anyone hurting his child.
“The truth is, I don’t like the parents. If you somebody daddy and they got your daughter. Y’all know, I’m not going to be on no reality show or Lifetime. I’m going to be on CNN, straight up! It’s about to get real. I’m not about to play with nobody. I’m gonna burn it down!”
In a second post, the 48-year-old mogul doubled down on his blame of the parents.
“You shouldn’t have been on TV if you’re a parent unless you’re on CNN from a jail cell. So I don’t know if R. Kelly did it or not, that’s none of my business. I’m not judging, I’m just saying those parents shouldn’t have let it go that far.”
