Master P is getting a check from Reelz Network for a new reality show called Master P’s Family Empire.
The cameras will follow the OG MC in his daily life, juggling work, family and staying positive. According to the Associated Press, the New Orleans native wants to use the small screen to offer a different perspective on hip-hop families.

“We’re about to make it cool to watch good, positive family TV,” the rap veteran said. “The Kardashians are entertaining, but what we’re doing is positive entertainment, which is supposed to not be cool. With my family, we’re going to make it cool, because we’ve been cool our whole lives.” His children Mercy, Hercy, Cymphonique, Veno and Romeo—aged 10 to 25—will play a crucial part in the unscripted series.
The show will also follow Romeo, his eldest child, as he continues to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry. The project is being backed by Asylum Entertainment, which has produced films for Lifetime and ESPN.
Master P’s Family Empire will debut on Reelz in late November. –Diamond Hillyer
