Earlier this season, singer Michel’le announced that she’s working on a biopic mainly centered around her career, and former relationships with then N.W.A member, Dr. Dre, and Death Row Records CEO, Suge Knight.
Titled Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le, the “Something In My Heart” singer will showcase the controversy surrounding her abusive history with Dre and Knight, and life after.
During a previous stop at The Breakfast Club, Michel’le detailed a tumultuous past at the hands of Dre. “When he gave me my very first black eye, we laid in the bed and cried,” she said. “He was crying and I was crying because I was in shock, hurt and in pain. I don’t know why he was crying, but he said ‘I’m really sorry.’ And he said, ‘I’ll never hit you in that eye again, okay?’”
