Jeff Wadlow recently took the directorial reigns from Matthew Vaughn and now, as he gets ready to roll the cameras, a familiar face has joined the cast.
With Donald Faison cast as Doctor Gravity, two actors have been added to the Kick-Ass 2 roster, namely Morris Chestnut and Robert Emms. Chestnut, who last appeared in Steve Harvey‘s Think Like A Man, is aboard to play Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz)’s guardian, who takes over responsibilities in the wake of Big Daddy‘s death. This time, Hit-Girl initially opts for retirement, but soon gets back into the game of arse-kicking.
Meanwhile, Emms, will be Insect Man, a part of the league known as Justice Forever (which Doctor Gravity is also a member of) and is a former cop who fights crime after being disillusioned by the corruption and lack of competence of the police force.
Wadlow, who wrote the script, is aiming to start shooting next month for U.S. release date of June 28, 2013. Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and even Nicholas Cage are returning for the second installment on the popular Mark Millar series.
