Mega-streaming service Netflix will be home to a new story on the man known as Barry, formally known to the masses as President Barack Obama.
The film picks up during Obama’s tenure at Columbia University in 1981, which showcases his relationship with his parents, and situations where Obama “finds himself pulled between various social spheres,” a portion of the description for the movie reads.
“Before he created change,” and “Before he made us believe we can” are a few of the tag-lines viewers see in the reel’s trailer, setting us up for a story that’s presumably rarely told on film.
Barry, played by Devon Terrell, is set for release on the streaming outlet Dec. 16.
