
The first full trailer to Netflix’s Barry, a film following President Barack Obama’s college days has arrived.
Debuted by The Huffington Post on Monday (Nov. 21), the film will take a look into Obama’s journey at Columbia University, including his brush with police brutality and uncovering his black identity. Played by Devon Terrell, the actor helps evoke the emotion and discovery of the future president, from his love of hip-hop music to the ups and downs of college life.
Hitting the streaming service Nov. 16, director Vikram Gandhi linked up with Columbia alumni Dam Mansbach, who penned the script. Gandhi’s other works include the Vice documentary series and Kumaré, a film about a man impersonates a wise Indian Guru in Arizona.
